I first became interested in astrophotography as a teenager, back in the 1990s. Back then, I took photos using an old Pentax ME Super camera, on slide film - taking pictures was a costly and frustrating experience - especially when the photographs took several weeks to develop!
Nowadays, I take wide-field photographs using my Canon EOS R6 camera, with Samyang lenses, and a Star Adventurer tracking camera mount. I am also the proud owner of a Celestron 8" RASA telescope, which I use to image deep sky objects across the night sky.
You can see a selection of my favourite images to the left, and I have set up a print-on-demand store to sell copies of my photographs suitable for wall hanging (canvases and posters), as annual calendars, and also on a variety of tableware. To see what I have for sale, please visit my Etsy Store!
Since moving to Australia, I have become a keen wildlife photographer. Initially, this was to satisfy the fascination my parents, who at the time lived on the Isle of Skye, had with all of Australia's amazing native flora and fauna - but I have grown to love the challenge of getting great photographs of wild targets.
Some of my favourite wildlife photographs can be seen in the carousel to the left. I have found that these photos work extremely well as calendars, and for a number of years, have put together annual calendars for my close friends and family.
I have now opened up those calendars for sale to a general audience - they can be found, along with the fruits of my astrophotography, on my Etsy Store. Please feel free to check them out!
